No fee to join the list. Being on it changes nothing about ranking — there is no ranking.

What are you waiting for, exactly?

A page like the one we built for Chimney Monkey — read it first, then decide whether you want one. Every block on it carries one of two labels: PUBLIC RECORD for something taken from a public source we name, or REPORTED BY BUSINESS for something the company itself says. The page holds:

• ServicesWhat the company says it does, grouped for reading, taken from its own pages and labeled as the company's own words. Nothing on that list has been watched, tested or priced by us.
• Service areaThe counties and towns the company names itself. A town on that list is a place a company says it goes, not a promise that it will.
• Contacts and hoursAddress, phone, email, website and opening hours, each labeled with where we found it.
• Certified peopleAnyone at the company found on a certification body's own public roster, with the date we looked. Bodies are always in the same order — NCSG, then NFI, then CSIA, then any other body — so what is missing is as visible as what is there.
• Google ratingThe rating and review count as Google Maps displayed them on the day we looked, dated, with the plain caveat that we did not read the reviews and both numbers will have moved since. We publish no rating markup anywhere.

You can correct any of it. Send us what is wrong and what the right answer is, and the page changes or the page says you disagree. What you cannot do is buy your way onto it, or up it. Placement is never sold. A page here cannot be bought, and nobody can pay to rank higher, to be added, or to be left off.

What a company page is not

• It is not an endorsement. We recommend no one, and we never will.
• It is not a rank. There is no order to climb, no badge to earn, and no position that money moves. A company page is a record of dated facts with their sources named.
• It is not a check on the company. We do not inspect work, call customers, read complaint histories, or confirm insurance. Where a certification is shown, the claim is only that a body's own public roster showed that name on the date printed beside it.
• It is not an advertisement, and nothing on it is sold. We take no fee from any certification body, guild, or contractor, and nobody is paid to be mentioned.
